Ghana’s entertainment industry would be hit by tragic deaths in the year
2016, the founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry has
prophesied.
Celebrities who would pass into eternity, Rev Owusu Bempah said will
include: Asonaba Kweku Darko known in the industry as ‘Super OD’ and
highlife musician, Jewel Ackah.
“When you say it then people would come on and insult you, but I must
still tell that I saw calamity befalling this country as we entered
2016…in the entertainment industry for instance, Super OD and Jewel
Ackah would die…,” he said.
When asked on Adom FM’s Evening News on Saturday if he was aware Super
OD has been unwell for sometime now, the controversial man of God said
he said ‘I never knew that’.
Super OD is a well-known character in the Osofo Dadzie Group. He is also described as one of comedy in the country.
Reports emerged in October 2013 that he had passed on but later proved
to be false. The Comedian has however been unwell lately owing to ill
health.
Jewel Ackah on the other hand is famous for composing the anthem of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He was named by the political party as one of the persons to be catered for under the party’s heroes fund.
Jewel Ackah was one of the many musicians who popularized highlife music
in the 1980s and 1990s. His sweet voice and enticing Fante Lyrics made
him and exceptional artist. After years in the highlife scene, he found
Christ and shifted to gospel music in the late 1990.
