Equatoguinean giants Panthers FC have dragged Ghana international
Bernard Dong Bortey to FIFA for allegedly falsifying an ITC to play for
Swedish fourth-tier side Ange IF, Footballmadeinghana.com can
exclusively reveal.
Bortey’s last club before he joined the Swedish side was Panthers and
was supposed to take his ITC from the Equatorial Guinea Football
Federation but he didn’t and rather did a fake one for the move to
Sweden.
A close source within the club in Malabo has hinted
footballmadeinghana.com that they have sent Bortey to FIFA and the world
football governing body is currently investigating the matter.
“Bortey’s ITC is with the federation here but he was able to do a fake
one which helped him in his move to Sweden. We have notified FIFA and
they have started their investigation.” The source told
Footballmadeinghana.com
“What he did is a criminal offense, FIFA have already contacted him in Sweden.”
The former Ghana under 17 star is likely to face a lengthy ban if he is found guilty.
