The boxer, who is widely regarded as the greatest African boxer of all time, was part of personalities at the Basillica De Baby Jet mansion where Asamoah Gyan held a lavish party to celebrate his 30th birthday.
In a chit chat with Let’s Talk Entertainment on Joy News on MultiTV, the boxer, who held the WBC featherweight title once and the WBC super featherweight title twice, revealed that he loves Ghanaian music and disclosed that his favourite song is Gasmilla’s ‘Telemo’.
He said “I listen to a lot of them, well there is a song that came, I don’t know whether it is a couple of years ago, I don’t know but it’s in Ga saying ‘Oya wo Kakla yo”, he sang and laughed.
He said it was his favourite song but he loves Ghanaian music in general but did not specify any genre adding he always listens to music.
According to him, boxers always train with music. “Especially when we are training we train with music so we cannot go without music,” he said.
Azumah also used the opportunity to wish Asamoah Gyan a happy birthday and advised him always to look up to God in everything he does, adding that if he (Asamoah Gyan) knows God he will never go wrong.
