Ghanaian rap artist and CEO of SarkCess Music, Michael Owusu Addo known
by his stage name Sarkodie has described fast rising artist and former
winner of Next Big Thing in GH Hiphop, Strongman as a true reflection of
his (Sarkodie) beginning as a musician hence his unrelenting support
for the artist lately.
In an interview with NY DJ on Ryse N Shyne in Kumasi, Sarkodie revealed
his interest in Strongman is borne out of the fact that he does not try
to sound polished like many rising artists who sound like ‘already
made’.
“It was so hard to find somebody who was actually going in hard and not
trying to sound polished even when they are not", he said.
“I started going in and rapping without no filter until I had to grow
to the new Sarkodie and try to sieve my lyrics sometime and make it more
musical and that’s what Strongman is doing.”
With Sarkodie featured on two songs from Strongman already, Strongman
is full of praise for the Illuminati hit maker as he has showered
praises on him on several platforms.
Strongman recently opened Sarkodie’s Mary Album live concert held at the University of Ghana, Legon Campus.
According to the multiple award winner and three time BET Award nominee, Strongman is ready to rub shoulders with anyone.
“He’s going in, strict bars, the metaphors are crazy, he’s on point,
his delivery and control over rap makes him great and I think he’s ready
to rub shoulders”, he added.
