Multiple award winning Ghanaian rap artist and CEO of SarkCess Music,
Michael Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie has expressed willingness and readiness
to record with another rap giant and member of music duo Bradez,
Flowking Stone.
In an exclusive interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM’s flagship morning
show Ryse N Shyne, Sarkodie disclosed such a project was long overdue
and that the only impediment has been time which has not been the best
friend of both parties.
Asked what he thinks of a collaboration with the Machine Gun hit maker
especially after a feature with Strongman, Sarkodie revealed he has been
working towards such a collaboration.
“Yeah, that has been what I have been working um towards. If you ask
any of the Bradez, from Okyeame Kwame down to Kunta. I have been trying
to make that collaboration but I don’t know may be because of timing and
wherever we are.
If you ask Stone, I have been the one who has been on his neck that
let’s work from way back but I have not heard anything yet…”
In a bid to show how serious he is about a collaboration, Sarkodie
disclosed he once sent an instrumental to Kuntakinte when he was on
Legon campus to work on but had no response.
“I’ve always been ready. I actually even sent a beat when Kunta was in
Legon, I went there but I didn’t hear any feedback from them…..
I’m always ready for a collaboration but then I want the other party to
also make a move to feel like yeah, they are really ready. ”
Sarkodie is set to work on a new collaboration with Okyeame Kwame,
elder brother to Bradez which comprise of Kuntakinte and Flowking Stone.
On Saturday September 12 2015, Sarkodie released his fourth studio
album Mary which saw a huge turn out during the autograph signing at the
West Hills Mall in Accra, Ghana.
