John Okafor, a Nigerian actor and comedy popularly known as Mr Ibu says
the reason for his regular visit to Ghana is because the former British
colony is a disciplined country.
“I like coming to Ghana apart from the fact that it is my second home, there is a lot of discipline among the citizens.”
He said this in an interview on Starr Chat on Starr 103.5 Fm with Bola Ray.
According to the Sherikoko actor, pressure and the good testimonies of
Ghana from friends constituted to his reason of visiting the West
African country almost on a regular basis.
“In Ghana, I have learnt and seen certain things that we in Nigeria do
not make good use of. Example, in Ghana, you see police officers
directing traffic even when the traffic lights are working and all but
in Nigeria it is not like that.
“Another reason is how our businessmen and women treat their customers when delivering their services.”
John Okafor came into limelight after playing the role of ‘Mr. Ibu in the hit comic movie ‘Mr. Ibu
Ibu the comedian is married to Stella Maris Okafor with children and has acted in more than 70 movies.
Okafor is considered as one of Nigeria’s most talented comic characters.
His humorous acting is often characterized by stupidity, hilarious
imbecility and a sharp disconnection from reality.
He is known for movies like Mr.Ibu, Mr.Ibu in London, Police Recruit, 9 Wives, Ibu in Prison and Keziah.
