Dr. Anabah Winsum Receives the International Quality Summit Award for Quality and Excellence

Dr. Thomas Winsum Anabah, Senior Lecture and a Head of Department at the School of Medicine, University for Development Studies has received the International Quality Summit Award in the Gold Category on behalf of Habana Medical Services of which he is the CEO. The award was in recognition of Dr. Anabah and his Habana Medical Services’ commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation. Presenting the award at the ceremony which was held at the New York Marriott Marquis Convention Hall, the President of BID Group, Jose E. Prieto noted that Dr. Anabah and his team were presented the IQS International Quality Summit Award in acknowledgement of strong commitment to quality and excellence. The International BID Quality Award is designed to recognize the prestige of outstanding companies, organizations, and leaders in the business world. It is attended by leaders from different business fields, professionals from the worlds of economics, the arts and corporate image, quality experts, as well as academic personalities and representatives from the diplomatic corps. According to Dr. Thomas Winsum Anabah, “we are elated that the work we are doing here is being recognised worldwide and it challenges us to do more. It is not a plus for just me and my team; it is a plus for UDS, the institution in which I lecture; a plus for Tamale and the North, and a plus for Ghana as a whole”.
